Cody Clark is currently the producer for Barsky Radio on 850 WFTL and the sports update anchor for Fox Sports 640 as part of Hubbard Broadcasting in West Palm Beach, Florida.
With Hubbard, Clark delivers sports updates on the cluster's sports station twice an hour from 10A to 2P. He also serves as producer for Barsky Radio from 3P to 6P. Clark contributes to the show on-air, runs the board, gathers stories and collects sound and other elements for the program.
Clark also ensures that all seven radio stations in Hubbard's cluster are operating smoothly and running on-time in accordance with station logs.
Clark moved to West Palm Beach after spending a year with the Orlando Magic as the broadcast coordinator.
With the Magic, Clark handled a plethora of daily tasks in helping execute the daily operation of Orlando's radio broadcasts. He served as the locker room correspondent at home games and logged highlights during road games. He gathered sound from home and/or visiting coaches and players at shootarounds, and helped produce and book guests for Orlando's daily in-season radio show, Magic Drive Time.
Clark joined the ranks of the National Basketball Association after spending two years at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. In his time at DSU, Clark worked as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Communications/External Relations office while obtaining his Master's Degree in Sport and Human Performance.
Clark worked with Statesmen and Lady Statesmen athletics and served as the primary media contact for women’s cross country, men’s soccer and men’s and women's basketball in his time with the #DSUFamily. Clark handled the day-to-day promotion of the teams across DSU’s various print and digital media platforms.
Clark also lent his voice to the Statesmen Sports Network, broadcasting Statesmen and Lady Statesmen soccer as well as being a color analyst on select football radio broadcasts. He also did radio play-by-play for Statesmen baseball midweek contests and served as a fill-in play-by-play and color commentator for men's and women's basketball broadcasts.
Clark made his way to the Delta after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa in 2016.
In his time with the Warriors, Clark was the station manager for KZOW 91.9 FM, the student radio station, and was the radio play-by-play voice for volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball. He was also a four-year member of the Warriors' varsity cross country and track and field teams, where he was a North Star All-Conference runner his senior season. Clark competed in distance events from the 800m to the 8K, threw the javelin and was a 4x Daktronics-NAIA Academic All-American with the Warriors.
As the station manager, Clark was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the station and oversaw a group of 10 student leaders and 30+ students in music, sports, production and marketing groups.
He served as the play-by-play radio voice of Warrior soccer, volleyball and basketball and did freelance play-by-play work for KIOW 107.3 FM covering high school basketball in Northern Iowa. In addition, he was the editor for The Lobbyist, the school's student newspaper.
Clark also spent three years as a student assistant in the Sports Information Department, where he helped execute the daily operations of the department.
In the summer of 2014, Clark served at the play-by-play voice and Director of Media Relations for the Lexington County Blowfish (formerly the Columbia Blowfish) of the Coastal Plain League. He broadcasted all home games, served as a color commentator for road games and handled media relations for the team.
Originally from Florence, South Carolina, Cody got his start as a spotter for Friday night radio broadcasts of Wilson Hall High School football games with Dick Brooks and Clark Newsome on WDXY 1240 AM. From there, he moved to calling games for the Sumter Item's high school football internet broadcasts and began pursuing his passion for sports broadcasting.
In his free time, Clark enjoys playing pickup basketball, volleyball, and pretty much any other sport. He also likes reading and spending time outdoors hiking, camping and fishing.
